Franco-Indonesian fusion cuisine

The restaurant Le Borobudur welcomes you in the heart of Paris, in the 15th arrondissement, near the Porte de Versailles.

We discover fusion cuisine that combines French tradition with Indonesian flavors. On the menu, French dishes revisited by founder Ike thanks to her twenty years of experience in traditional French restaurants.

I was born on the island of Java, Indonesia and lived there for over twenty years. When I was little, I loved watching my grandmother and learning the gestures and techniques she used to prepare Indonesian dishes for us.

Arriving in France in 1998, I discovered French cuisine by joining the brigade of a restaurateur in Saint Ouen. Then I continued to enrich my experience in catering in palaces and starred restaurants (2): kitchen, dining room, bar, breakfast… I loved learning in these different positions, I continued to improve my techniques and I'm thinking (I'm testing and having people tested too!) about merging the cuisine of my childhood and that of the country that welcomed me, France.

Today I am delighted to be able to launch my restaurant and introduce creative cuisine that respects the seasons, with traditional homemade dishes revisited.
